I\nfirst visited it as a child when we were spent a week of our summer holidays in\nWalberswick further up the coast. Since then I\u2019ve visited a few times, always\nheading to the remote village of Orford and then getting the National Trust run\nboat across to the \u201cNess\u201d itself. There you can explore the nature reserve and\nsee the remnants from a time of nuclear development that litter the landscape. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A couple of years ago, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/adambowie\/albums\/72157700266877544\">I got to visit for a special photographic tour<\/a>. We were taken into places that are normally off the tourist track, and I spent several hours lugging a tripod around trying to capture some of the remarkable buildings you find there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2t7hUcH\">Ness <\/a><\/em>is a meditative piece that combines prose and illustration, imagining what might have been. It captures the spirit of the place \u2013 somewhere that remains somehow other-worldly.
