The idea is that you&#8217;ve got to write a novel of at least 50,000 words by the end of the month &#8211; as featured on this Evening&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/radio4\/arts\/frontrow\/index.shtml\">Front Row<\/a>.<br \/>\nI&#8217;ve not written so much as a short story since school &#8211; probably at some point in my English Language &#8216;O&#8217; Level &#8211; so it&#8217;s a tough ask. But I&#8217;m going to have a bash. Write what you know and all that, so that&#8217;s where I&#8217;ll be starting.<br \/>\nI won&#8217;t say any more at the moment, but stay tuned to see if I do well, or crash and burn. And I&#8217;ll no doubt publish the whole thing either here or elsewhere. I haven&#8217;t quite worked it all out yet.<br \/>\nSo, 50,000 words divided by 30 days equals 1,666 words a day.
