I decided to use an IKEA Ribba frame because they&#8217;re naturally very deep and so could accommodate some LED lightstrips inside it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The video above shows how I built it, and it&#8217;s pretty simple. The things you need for the A4 version I built are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ikea.com\/gb\/en\/p\/ribba-frame-white-00378399\/\">An A4 IKEA Ribba frame<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ebay.co.uk\/itm\/113079031078\">A4 Perpex diffuser sheet<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2MlT3K6\">LEDs and power adaptor<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2Mmrj8y\">Silver foil tape<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2TDxohl\">Framing tape<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2Mm7g9X\">Wooden dowelling<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/2TDQ9RK\">Wood glue<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, I used a piece of A4 black card, and you&#8217;ll need some masking tape, sandpaper, some pliers and a small hacksaw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The trickiest bit is cutting the wooden dowelling to size &#8211; you need to make each piece the same size. The biggest issue with this overall design is that you can&#8217;t easily open the frame up again without replacing the framing tape. But then, they do give you a long roll!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, I&#8217;m really pleased with this, and the quality of the LED lights is good.
