{"id":434,"date":"2003-09-18T11:22:25","date_gmt":"2003-09-18T11:22:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dev.adambowie.com\/2003\/09\/bbc_bashing\/"},"modified":"2003-09-18T11:22:25","modified_gmt":"2003-09-18T11:22:25","slug":"bbc_bashing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.adambowie.com\/blog\/2003\/09\/bbc_bashing\/","title":{"rendered":"BBC Bashing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A couple of pieces in today&#8217;s Guardian about some recent examples of pointless and utterly malicious BBC bashing.<br \/>\nFirst a piece by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/comment\/story\/0,3604,1044416,00.html\">Joe Conason<\/a> contrasting Charles Moore&#8217;s <i>Beebwatch<\/i> with the American right&#8217;s anti &#8220;liberal&#8221; bias.<br \/>\nThen there&#8217;s a corker of a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.guardian.co.uk\/leaders\/story\/0,3604,1044201,00.html\">leader<\/a> in response to Gerald Kaufman&#8217;s self-serving <a href=\"http:\/\/edm.ais.co.uk\/weblink\/html\/motion.html\/ref=1693\">Early Day Motion<\/a>.<br \/>\nBefore the Hutton Inquiry has finished even hearing evidence, Kaufman wants Greg Dyke to go.<br \/>\nAs The Guardian&#8217;s leader puts it, using Kaufman&#8217;s own language:<br \/>\n<i>Mr Kaufman&#8217;s intervention is also deplorable.
