They contribute literally pennies to the running of this site. Let&#8217;s put it this way, I&#8217;ve never actually reached the threshold for getting even an Amazon token from them from people clicking the links on this site.<br \/>\nNonetheless, I use Amazon a reasonable amount, and they send lots of email advertising as a result.<br \/>\nOne particular type of email is the &#8220;recommends&#8221; email, where Amazon examines what you&#8217;ve bought in the past, and looks for patterns amongst its other purchasers to perhaps direct me to another title I might be interested.<br \/>\nExcept it never really works that well. I&#8217;m sure that there are teams of people in the States who sit there fine tuning Amazon&#8217;s algorithms but basic things like books I bought as gifts rather than for myself are difficult to take into account.<br \/>\nAnyway, this a rambling way of telling you about the book I was &#8220;recommended&#8221; today.
