Today saw the Tour of Britain<\/a> arrive in London and I set out unneccessarily early to see the Tour cross Tower Bridge. It was a good opportunity to give my camera a decent work out. \nOverall, this was a good fun day out. I was not on my own by travelling around the course on bike. Less than a year now until the Tour de France reaches these parts on a very similar course. The only thing I would say is that I think that the police might have closed some of the roads a little earlier than they did. There were still cars crossing Tower Bridge less than five minutes before the pelleton came through.
\nIn other news, Nicole Cooke<\/a> was today crowned as the World Cup Champion<\/a>, in the same year that she has already La Grande Boucle – the female version of the Tour de France. If there’s any more deserving winner of Sports Personality of the Year, I don’t know who it is. Certainly not David Walliams<\/a> anyway.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
