It seems to be a simplish process of just registering online, clicking the authorisation email (they might want to mention that, as I couldn&#8217;t get the service to work initially), and you&#8217;re away.<br \/>\nSurely, the thing is using IP address ranges to tell if I&#8217;m in the UK, and it can&#8217;t be as simple as just needing a UK postcode to get access can it?<br \/>\nThe stream&#8217;s OK &#8211; although since at time of writing it&#8217;s the Hollyoaks omnibus (with in-vision signing), I didn&#8217;t hang around for long. From what I did see, the quality was fine.<br \/>\nOf course not everything is going to be streamed &#8211; particularly not films, sport or US imports. But I forsee much wasted office man-hours when Deal or No Deal and Richard &#038; Judy are on.<br \/>\nWith the World Cup (RIP), Wimbledon and now this, there&#8217;s barely any time to do work.<br \/>\nOf course, the BBC&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/multicast\/\">multicast<\/a> experiment is quite nice, but my ISP isn&#8217;t there yet.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Channel 4 has, as promised, launched as a streaming service on the web.
