Last week, when I was bemoaning overly-abridged audio books I noted that The Times was claiming to be giving an unabridged audiobook of Stormbreaker, but pointed out that it couldn’t really get a 240 page book into 78 minutes. Well today it became clear that they were giving out an mp3 audiobook. Full marks for that then. The runtime of the full book is 4hrs 55mins, and it is indeed in a non-drm format as a set of mp3s.
Whether I especially want to spend five hours listening to a kids spy book is a moot point. But I’m all in favour of the papers giving away more of this sort of thing.
